Thumbs up for bringing the IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships to NB!
Thousand of New Brunswickers were able to witness athletes from around the world compete in our own backyard. Thousands of youth were inspired by these very athletes.
Thumbs up for bringing national sporting events to NB!
By hosting national events, NB communities achieve enduring legacies such as trained volunteers, enhanced local economies, and new or upgraded facilities, which potentially leads to more hosting opportunities. Thumbs up for investing in sports infrastructure!
The provincial government made the right decision by investing more funds into infrastructure projects such as the IAAF World Junior Track and Field Stade Moncton 2010 Stadium and the Grant Harvey Centre in Fredericton. Let’s give the thumbs up to investing in sport at the level purposed by the NB Sport Plan!
Investing in sport is investing in our children, our youth, our communities, our health, our environment and our economy. It is important to invest in sport at the level purposed by the NB Sport Plan to ensure all New Brunswickers have the opportunity to participate and excel in sport. |
