The Provincial Government has invested heavily in sport in the lead-up to 2010
 
 
Thanks to this support, our athletes have performed better than ever before provincially, nationally and internationally
 
 
But the level of funding is scheduled to take a significant drop next fiscal year.
  
   
This means less opportunities for athletes to train and compete, fewer programs for kids, less funding for athletes and coaches, and higher costs for all participants
