BCCAA ACE Leadership Award

Many of our home-grown BC Athletes are taking the leadership skills they have honed through sport and are applying them in innovative and exciting ways for the benefit of their communities. Understanding the importance of athlete leadership, the Sport and Recreation Branch and BC Athlete Voice have teamed up to create the ACE (Athlete Community Excellence) Leadership Award. This innovative new initiative recognises Athlete Community Excellence by profiling and promoting the great work athletes are involved with in communities throughout BC.

The BCCAA ACE Leadership Award is presented to student athletes who have made a significant contribution to their institution and their community through their involvement as a leader and promoter of sport and physical activity.  BCCAA Student Athletes will be profiled in their communities and linked with MLAs and others to promote the benefits of sport and physical activity. Additionally, this award provides exposure of the fantastic programs and structures in place in BCCAA institutations to support the development and growth of student athlete leadership.

BC Athlete leaders play a crucial role in building healthy, productive and engaging communities for people young and old.  Let BCCAA Student Athletes know their leadership efforts are making a difference. Nominate a great BCCAA Student Athlete today!
