BC Athlete Voice makes the following general conclusions taking into consideration both the implementation and evaluation of the information gathered through the athlete forums and the 2009 BC Athlete Survey

BC Athletes are extremely interested in sharing their perspective and voice to ensure they can communicate their feedback regarding sport in the community.

BC Athletes have the capacity to provide meaningful feedback not only in their selected sport, but also in terms of sport in general and it’s affects on the community.

BC Athletes gain numerous benefits from coming together in a forum setting to discuss issues and share best practice.

BC Athletes have indicated their concern regarding the lack of funding available for high performance athletes and the increasing costs of participating in sport.

BC Athletes have the ability to think outside the box in coming up with new solutions and recommendations to the issues in sport that have been raised now and in the past.

BC Athletes still require ongoing education and support to learn more about how the provincial and national sport system works and the current organizations and programs that are in place in British Columbia.
