Interim Executive Director: Joe Hitchcock Joe comes to BC Athlete Voice with over five years experience working with High Performance Athletes from diverse sports and backgrounds. His role with BC Athlete Voice involves producing athlete-centred resources, programs and services to support the development of High Performance Athletes in BC. Joe has been involved in athlete leadership, advocacy and development through work in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. Past roles have included working for provincial multi-sport organizations within New Zealand as well as managing the national youth sport and recreation portfolio with SPARC (Sport and Recreation New Zealand). Joe has been involved in a number of regional talent development academies and has had the opportunity to work with athletes ranging from young amateur athletes to Olympians and World Champions. Joe is passionate about athlete representation at all levels of the sport system and enjoys working with athletes of all abilities. |
