Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer!

Each year, BC Athlete Voice chooses a community initiative to get behind. The initiative has to be something that all BC athletes can either participate in, or support.

We call it our ‘Community Connection’.

This year, we are proud to support the Canadian Cancer Society’s epic fundraising event, Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer!

Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer is a Dawn-to-Dusk road hockey marathon being held at Concord Pacific Place in down town Vancouver, on Saturday, October 13th, 2012 (Game Day). All proceeds from RHCC will go towards the Canadian Cancer Society, a national community-based organization of volunteers whose mission is the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer. On Game Day, each Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer team of 8 to 12 players will play a minimum of 5 exciting games of road hockey. In between games, players will enjoy healthy food, beer gardens, live music, interactive games, celebrity appearances and much more!

BC Athlete Voice knows that events like this do not happen without the support of the local community.

That’s why we’re helping out in these three ways: entering a team, providing volunteers, and spreading the word.

Here’s how you can help.

JOIN OUR TEAM: Come join our team for a day of FUN road hockey and more on October 13th! Anyone can join! E-mail us!

VOLUNTEER: Get some great experience working at a huge charity sport event! E-mail us!

SPREAD THE WORD: This event is going to be EPIC. Facebook. @RoadHockey. Website.
